Rip-remix Manifesto
Rip-remix Manifesto is about the debate surrounding the limitations of copyright laws and how this law limits future generations creative development. They highly advertise the idea of "free culture" where consumers should be able to share content from one to another through "gratis" or "free of charge". "Copyleft" where creative work can be freely modified, re-edited and remixed for as long as the modified work are also sharing the same law and freeness as the original creative work. Protecting the 'public domain' the "Copyleft" law ensures the future growth of creative ideas, art and culture.

However, this movie highly eradicates "copyright" laws. I believe that this movie highly distinguish corporations and some artist who claims "copyrights" infringements to be selfish, greedy and money sucking pigs. That these corporations and this law will end the creative culture. "that it limits creativity"

As an example of this debate between "copyleft" and "copyright" they documented the life of "GirlTalk" a mash-up artist, DJ whose works contains a remastered and rendered mix of other artists creative music output. Lawrence Lessig believes that his works can be subjected to "Fair use" as he used part of copyrighted material to make a point or freedom of speech.

Lawrence Lessig
In my own point of view i believe that there must be a balance between "copyleft" and "copyright". As a graphic designer, a student within the industry i wouldn't want for design and creativity to be totally free, i pursue a path and career within design, i don't want other people outside the business to see my works to be almost like a 'hobby' as almost everyone, young and old can freely hone and develop creative skills. We need the rights to show a bit of professionalism within the industry. A right balance of both is what i want to see. "copyleft" and "copyright" working together to ensure a better reputation and future.
In this ted talk video, Lawrence Lessig discusses how "Copyright Laws" has chocked the future generations creativity. He identifies two extremists, one of which wants to stop any "copyright" infringements regardless of "fairuse" and another extremist groups who rebels for the every rights to go against the other group in a way of remixing and creativity. The "read write" culture and the "read only" culture. We are not 'pirates', we are simply taking sounds and images around us and saying things in our own way, "These tools of creativity has become tools for speech". Lawrence Lessigs idea of creative commons is to create laws that can make the non free content more free, to 'balance' the odds and to give the future generations a chance to develop creativity and skills that can push them further forward.

Ideas has always come from the past, it is up to the present artist to give and share more freedom of their work, for their content to be more free so that the future generations can benefit from it. The balance lays within the artists choice.
